Chapel Hill, NC September 6, 2012 - The legacy continues to grow as Carolina Closets Plus has recently been named as the supplier for all organization needs at the brand new 140 West Franklin Residences project in Chapel Hill, NC. The project consists of approximately 140 private residences along with retail and commercial nestled in downtown Chapel Hill.  "The most exciting part about the project", Carolina Closets Plus President Mike Hoffer says, "is the creativity that Carolina Closets Plus and the individual homeowner can put into each space. We’re able to meet with each homeowner whenever they come to town, because our showroom is right here in Chapel Hill. It makes things a lot easier.” Murphy beds will be a big part of a lot of these units because space is at a premium.  Most buyers will be downsizing significantly and this is one of the most efficient uses of space.

Chapel Hill, NC March 30,2011 - Carolina Closets Plus expansion into the regional market has proven to be a great success.  Mike Hoffer, founder and president, says “Recently, we completed a large DIY project with a builder from Princeton, near Goldsboro.  It was a perfect project for this builder and helped him close the deal to sell the house.  Our DIY closet division concentrates mainly on the triangle area of Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest and the surrounding areas but have recently shipped jobs as far away as Pennsylvania.  It’s a great concept and growing every day.  Our approach is much different because we offer much more detailed instructions and videos.  We become a partner in the project instead of just offering an online purchase.

Chapel Hill, NC August 7, 2010 - Mike Hoffer, founder of Carolina Closets Plus held the first Closet DIY™.which ran one half hour over the allotted 1.5 hours as the attendees shared their unique ideas of spaces they wanted to organize. A pantry, a laundry room and an entire bedroom that was to be converted to a walk in closet. Do It Yourselfers now have a tremendous resource in the central North Carolina region for designing and installing a custom closet, pantry, garage or kid's play area..

Chapel Hill. NC Dec 14, 2008- Carolina Closets Plus has just introduced a new feature on all doors.  Effective immediately, we will begin using a new "soft close" hinge on all doors.  This type of hinge is typically only seen on very high end kitchen cabinets but owner and co-founder of Carolina Closets Plus, Mike Hoffer says "This is just another way for us to show our mission of detail perfection for our customers.  We are making this a standard feature on all installations because it makes the job turn out just that much better.  The best part is that it doesn't cost anything extra!"  It's a great way to WOW your friends when they come over to look at your new closet/home office/garage organization project.  A soft close feature will slowly close your door when it approaches the cabinet frame.  It operates hydraulically so there is no slamming sound when the door shuts.

~You can see this new feature at either one of the showrooms, Chapel Hill or North Raleigh.  Here's what our customers are saying:

This new hinge is fabulous!  It really makes a difference.  It works much better than the little bumpers that always fall off of the cabinets.  Great idea, Mike.    Beth in Chapel Hill

My new basement storage and home office is absolutely beautiful.  I was really worried about all the door slamming and didn't really understand when Bob told me about this soft close feature.  I wish I had it on all my kitchen doors.  Thanks for Raleigh, NC Oct 22, 2008 - Carolina Closets Plus installs the first "green" pantry in the triangle region of North Carolina. No, it's not a green color, but it's 100% environmentally friendly. Co-Founder and President, Mike Hoffer says, "I'm really excited about this new melamine panel that we now have available for our customers. There is no added Urea Formaldehyde used to make the Roseburg Skyblend melamine. Roseburg is the industry leader for environmental wood byproducts such as the Skyblend melamine". Carolina Closets Plus will remain at the cutting edge of technology in the home organization business and this is one more way they are doing it. You can see this pantry at the brand new showroom in North Raleigh at 5213 Capital Blvd (Map & Directions). Carolina Closets Plus will be further leading the local industry by becoming certified Green Building Professionals (CGBP) early next year. This is a designation by the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) for businesses that want to be environmentally conscious when building for their customers.
